Town of Breckenridge Journal (General Ledger) dated 1881 through 1892. Contains an inventory of the "Resources and Liabilities of the Town of Breckenridge at the close of the fiscal year ending April 8th 1881," a list of the "Officers of the Town," a "Memorandum" from the Town Marshall. Includes license fees, bills payable, general fund, police court fines and jail expenses, expenses related to hospital and fire department, "Sundries" and more.

Students pose outside with their teacher in front of the windows of a clapboard building, probably the 1882-built schoolhouse located on Harris Street in Breckenridge, Colorado. The wood frame schoolhouse was torn down and replaced with a brick structure in 1909. On the reverse is handwritten: "school pix - (?)".

Also includes register of water licenses issued to individuals or businesses (such as hotels, restaurants, boarding houses, barber shop). Handwritten content lists when the license was issued, length of term issued, for what, amount, and when the license expires. For the years 1882 through 1895.

Men sit or stand on the wooden boardwalk fronting Charles A. Finding's hardware store on the east side of Main Street, Breckenridge. Reflections of buildings across the street can be seen in the two large storefront windows and transom above the door entrance. Finding's redstone facade store is flanked by wood false-front buildings. Pictured on the left is the Livery. Handwritten on the reverse: "Finding Hardware store, Breckenridge" and "Miner". Circa 1885-1910.

William W. Boyd and his apprentice, Arlington Fincher, stand in front of Boyd's blacksmith shop located at the northeast corner of Main Street and Carter Avenue (now named Wellington Road) in Breckenridge, Colorado. Boyd owned the shop from 1886 through March 5, 1904, when he sold his shop to Fincher. Boyd, dressed in a suit and hat, stands outside the front-gabled building with horizontal wood clapboard. Fincher, wearing a blacksmith apron, stands opposite, with his hand on his hip. In view through the open doorway is a grinding wheel, probably foot-powered.

The Finding residence on North Main Street, Breckenridge. Charles stands beside the open gate and his wife Martha holds the reins of a horse on the front lawn. Their daughters, Charline Antoinette "Tonnie" (in dark dress) and Agnes (wearing a striped dress under a white pinafore) stand on the street side of the fence. Laying on the ground between them are two dogs, probably the family's pets. An unpainted picket fence encloses the tree-covered property and in the front yard is a large water fountain.

Charles A. Finding (left) and another man stand in the doorway of Finding's redstone-front hardware store. A coal burning or parlor stove is visible through the open door. Etched in the glass window above the doorway is "C.A. Finding"; painted across the window frame are the words "Stoves, Tinware, Steam & Gas Fittings, Rope, Iron, Steel and Nails". The reflection of buildings across the street is visible in the large storefront windows. Adjacent the sidewalk and street is a standing water spigot. Quote from handwritten text on the reverse: "Finding Hardware Store - Mrs. Miner's father".

The frame has a raised design of dragons. Tacked to the back of the frame is a small metal plaque engraved with "Made in Japan." Enclosed in the frame was a portrait photograph of Martha (Silverthorn) Finding, wife of Charles A. Finding and hidden behind this photograph was another portrait of an elderly Martha (Silverthorn) Finding.
