A boy stands in the snowy landscape outside the schoolhouse on Harris Street in Breckenridge, Colorado, circa 1898. Built in 1882, the two-story wood frame schoolhouse featured a bell and bell tower centered on the simple gable roof, and a shed addition on the south side. Brick chimneys rise from both gable ends and sash windows are pedimented throughout. Next door is a side gable frame house. In the foreground is a wooden sidewalk running along the east side of Harris Street. The schoolhouse was torn down and replaced with a brick structure in 1909.

They wear round-brimmed fedora-style hats and are dressed in suits and vests with neckties. The man on the left wears pinstriped pants and is holding a cigar. The other man wears a pinstriped collared shirt with a wide diagonal-striped necktie under his unbuttoned vest. He appears to be holding a rolled cigarette. Circa 1900s.

Schoolhouse on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Harris Street in Breckenridge, Colorado sometime after it was built in 1908. Two people stand near one of the two entrances on the east side of the three story brick building. On the front lot is a tall, freestanding wood frame bell tower with bell. The brick building served as the Breckenridge Public School between 1909 and 1961.

Two Bucyrus dredges, the Colorado I (right) and Colorado II (left), in the Swan River Valley at Valdora, north of Breckenridge, Colorado. Circa April 1908. The Colorado I dredged down the Swan River and turned up the Blue River, where it broke down in 1910 and sat idle until 1914. It operated on and off on the Blue River from 1914-1942. The Colorado II went up the Swan River where it operated continuously until 1919. In 1914, both dredges were purchased by the Tonopah Placers Company and renamed Tonopah No. 1 and Tonopah No. 2.

Edwin Carter's log cabin and museum on Ridge Street, Breckenridge. The one story front gable log cabin with shed addition was built in 1875. The fenced property also included a secondary structure (log outbuilding) on the south side. Outside the cabin is a pile of antlers. Town buildings and a view of the Tenmile Range in the background. Circa 1899.
