Standing upslope from him is a woman dressed in a red jacket and black ski pants. Her blonde hair is loose and covered with a light blue headband. She wears dark framed sunglasses even though the sky is overcast and cloudy.

One of Ski Country's major ski areas. Spring snow conditions are best in late April and May. Undulating open slopes above timberline - protected from the prevailing west winds by a natural bowl and steep west wall."

A skier stops to enjoy the view from above the terminus of a chairlift, probably Chairlift 1 on Peak 8 of the Breckenridge ski area in Colorado. Chairlift 1 started at the base of Peak 8, near the Bergenhof Restaurant, and went up the slope to a point about 500 feet above tree line or timberline.

Quoted from text handwritten on the back of the board: "For Andy Love - To remember his summer of labor on the mountain - 1964! Sincerely, S[illegible] Catlin, Pres. Breckenridge Lands Inc." Also on the board backing is a round Breckenridge Lands Inc. sticker with the mountain sunburst B logo.
