Interview with Mark Cope conducted 2018-11-01. Cope's family moved to Breckenridge as the ski area was being built in 1961. They lived above the drugstore at the base of Peak 8. Cope was 11 years old at the time. The older kids had to go to Fairplay for school at the time.

Interview with Rick "Pup" Ascher conducted 2018-11-06. Ascher originally came from Minnesota in 1979. He moved out here with his ski coach and a friend. Ascher began working at Maverick Ski Shop.
