Title quoted from handwritten text on the item: "The Ullrhom, Breckenridge Ski Area". Skiers gather outside the operations building at the Peak 8 base of the ski area, where the lift ticket offices, rental shop and lunch room was located. The building was nicknamed the "Ullrhom" in honor of "Ullr", Nordic patron saint of skiers. In 1966 a propane leak at the Ullr Holm caused an explosion resulting in the death of one man and injuring 12 others. The slide transparency support/holder is dated February 1967; the photograph was probably taken before 1966.
