Quoted from the 1980 National Register of Historic Places Inventory Nomination Form: "110. The Brown Hotel. 208 North Ridge. Prior to 1880, two stories, clapboard-faced, rectangular plan, hip roof with dormer, projecting roof supported by ornate brackets, two-story bay window with fielded panels and pediment-shaped lintels, two Queen Anne doors with etched glass lights, ornate vine-shaped brackets along the porch."
