A bronze and stone monument placed on July 26, 1941, marks the site of Summit Lodge No. 2 A.F. & A.M. at the former town of Parkville, north of Breckenridge. Parkville Lodge No. 7 was chartered on June 5, 1861, and was the second oldest in the Colorado Territory. On August 3, 1861, it was declared to be one of the three subordinate Lodges of Colorado and was named Summit Lodge No. 2.
