Scope and content
Tiger No.1 dredge after it sank in the Blue River in Breckenridge in November 1937. A day earlier the 300-ton bucket line dropped while crews were doing repair work, causing the dredge to twist and resulting in a crack in the hull. The dredge was raised and repaired, and operations resumed April 11, 1938. Town buildings can be seen in the background, including Masonic Lodge No. 47 (pictured center, facing west) on the corner of Main Street and Washington Avenue. The dome or cupola of the Summit County Courthouse on Lincoln Avenue is also in view.
